Mattracks Introduces the LiteFoot M3

Mattracks, Inc. announces the release of the new LiteFoot M3 and M3 Ultra-Ride Models. M3 which stands for “MONSTER MOUNTAIN MATTRACKS” is the latest in a series of four ATV track systems introduced by Mattracks in the past year. Another first from the industry leading Mattracks.

The LiteFoot M3 is engineered with a focus on snow mobility. Key features in the M3 track design include; a longer, 13 inch wide track, and deep paddle treads, putting down an incredibly large foot print with a monstrous grip on the snow.

The new 13 inch wide track provides high flotation and excellent lift in powder snow. If you add up the total surface area of the four tracks, the contact patch you get is more than 2200 square inches. The semi-rigid, paddle lugs are engineered with several design advancements including a 1 3/4 inch high lug for a more aggressive bite. Track pitch helps direct debris out and away when operating in soft terrain.

The LiteFoot M3 deep lugged track is specially designed to take advantage of LiteFoot’s internal suspension, the exclusive Shape Changing Suspension (SCS), resulting in an incredible ride, even with the more aggressive paddle style tread.

Mattracks will offer a running board skid plate which acts as a fender and foot guard savers to protect the track lugs, foot guards and inside fender from occasional track contact. The skid plate style running board will be required on standard installations to protect the track and ATV fenders from damage.

Mattracks, Inc. is pleased to introduce the LiteFoot Ultra-Ride model track conversion system.  LiteFoot Ultra-Ride features an adjustable, variable rate four link, three spring suspension and the newly released XT track tread.  LiteFoot Ultra-Ride model is specifically designed to meet the demands of the popular 4X4 UTVs (Utility ATVs) and features a GVW rating of 3500 Lbs.

The “Utility Rated” LiteFoot Ultra-Ride features many enhancements integrated into the track system including; the rubber track, bearings, and the SCS system, LiteFoot’s exclusive “Shape Changing Suspension”. With the Ultra-Ride enhancement, each track unit is equipped with a variable rate four link suspension, which provides cushioning to the internal track components. The “Ultra-Ride” suspension pre-load can be set by simply adjusting the SCS system to achieve the desired effect.

With the growing popularity of the 4x4 utility vehicle, Mattracks is determined to provide the best quality track conversion system available for use on UTVs such as the Kubota RTV 900, Polaris Ranger, Yamaha Rhino, Kawasaki Mule and many more 4x4 UTVs.

Mattracks, Inc. is pleased to introduce the new LiteFoot ATV track system for 2006, featuring a more refined, cast aluminum frame and the optional LiteFoot XT (Xtra Traction) rubber track.  The newly designed cast aluminum frame not only has a more refined look, with cleaner lines and smoother castings, but includes structural enhancements which will allow for additional features in the future.

The LiteFoot XT track is designed for all-seasons and all-terrains just like the original track, offering several design advancements including a 1 inch deep lug for a more aggressive bite. When developing the new LiteFoot XT track tread, a number of factors had to be taken into consideration; ride comfort, vibration, handling, noise, and track efficiency.  Mattracks didn’t want to sacrifice the smooth ride of the original track just to introduce a more aggressive tread, the engineers did their homework first.  The LiteFoot XT deep lugged track is specially designed to take advantage of LiteFoot’s internal suspension, the exclusive Shape Changing Suspension (SCS), resulting in an incredible ride.

During initial testing and comparisons between the original tread pattern and the XT, the XT tread was found to deliver improved traction, easier steering, and yet give an exceptionally smooth ride without lug induced vibration.  The original tread will still come as the standard tread, with the LiteFoot XT tread as an option and a direct replacement to the original tread.

With two track tread options available you can select a tread that is best suited for your riding conditions.  Both treads deliver high flotation on soft terrain, smooth riding, low ground pressure and easy installation, but if you want a more aggressive track tread, easier steering, less tread noise the new LiteFoot XT tread is your best choice.  LiteFoot tracks can be enjoyed all year round in mud, snow, sand, through swamps and rough terrain, LiteFoot ATV tracks will get you out there and back again!

Radio Shack Remote Control Toy features Mattracks
For over 10 years Mattracks equipped 4X4 vehicles have provided fun and excitement to people all over the world. Now just about anyone can get caught up in the fun of a pick-up truck with a track conversion thanks to an agreement between Radio Shack and Mattracks, Inc.

Early this fall Radio Shack released a 1/10 scale Ford F350 Super Duty remote control truck which comes fully equipped with a scaled down version of the Mattracks track conversion system for trucks.

Just like the real track conversion systems manufactured by Mattracks, the Radio Shack toy can be converted from tracks to tires or vice versa, allowing you to use either tracks or tires. The toy has been featured on television ads, Radio Shack flyers and on the Radio Shack web site. The Radio Shack web site features a video demo of the truck in action. The Mattracks equipped remote control truck is only available at Radio Shack while supplies last.

With the addition of a kit for the John Deere Gator HPX 4x4, the list of utility ATVs that can be equipped with a set of LIteFoot ATV tracks continues to grow. The LiteFoot track system is designed to fit most any 4x4 ATV on the market, provided that the gross vehicle weight is under 2500 pounds. This LiteFoot equipped Gator is ready to take on some of the most challenging terrain with the tracks high flotation and large surface contact the tracks can get you through some of the sloppiest conditions.

The popularity of the 4X4 Utility ATV (UTV) has generated a growing list of UTVs entering the market place.

With many of the new UTV models coming from familiar brand names such as E-Z-GO and John Deere.  LiteFoot is keeping pace with its ATV conversion kits, our most recent addition to the LiteFoot conversion kit line-up, is the set up for the all new 4x4 Bobcat 2200.  The LiteFoot conversion system with its SCS™ internal suspension and unique design, easy adapts to fit most any 4x4 ATV or UTV.  The SCS™ internal suspension can be adjusted to give you the best track performance with your UTV in all terrain conditions.

In addition to the Bobcat 2200, the LiteFoot ATV track system can be fitted to the Polaris Ranger, Kawasaki Mule, Yamaha Rhino, Pug Badlands and Wilderness II, and the Kubota RTV 900.  LiteFoot tracks have also been fitted to several other unique 4x4 specialty vehicles including the M274 Mechanical Mule, produced up until 1970. Tracks Plus!   If four tracks on an ATV give you great flotation and traction, what about 6 tracks? Check out this Polaris Sportsman 6X6 specially fitted with 6; yes count them, 6 LiteFoot ATV tracks from Mattracks, Inc. The development of this extraordinary six track all-terrain utility vehicle came about when Mattracks was asked by a customer to develop a track conversion for the Sportsman 6X6. The track equipped 6X6 will be used for a project that requires people and equipment to travel over rugged terrain that can vary from snow covered to sloppy mud.

The initial trials, held in the snow capped high altitudes of the Colorado Rockies, put the system to a real world test. According to Jeremy Reese, Mattracks production manager, “during the testing, the tracks didn’t disappoint”. “We even got the chance to pull a couple of snowmobiles out that were stuck.” The testing and evaluation was conducted to allow the customer to learn first hand about the track systems capabilities, and review the safety and training procedures they would need to cover with their personnel. With 6 times more surface contact than typical ATV tires, the LiteFoot equipped ATV cruises on top of soft terrain with ease. “We made believers out of them”, stated Reese, “during the tire to tracks comparison, the evaluators found how easy the tracks made crossing snow look; tires just couldn’t go where the tracks would”.  The 6X6 conversion comes as a kit, installation of the 6 LiteFoot track system requires about 4 hours. The transformation back to tires can be done in about the same amount of time.
