minitruckwht1LiteFoot ready for a “Mini-Truck” Invasion

Some may call what seems to be a sudden surge in the importing of used “Japanese Mini-Trucks” as an invasion, who knows, either way LiteFoot is ready. Officially identified as the “Kei” or K Class Mini Trucks from Japan, these vehicles are used all over the world. In the United States and Canada used models of these vehicles are being imported and marketed as a highly capable off-road 4x4 utility vehicle.

We think that as with any off-road 4x4 vehicle, what better way to improve your mobility then to mount up a set of LiteFoot tracks. We’re not sure exactly when this invasion started, but we have been fitting K-Class Mini-Trucks with LiteFoot tracks for several years now. The customer feed back has been great, our tracks appear to be a real complement to this class of vehicle.

A few facts on Mini-Trucks
minimog1Outside the U.S. these vehicles are driven on city streets and even used for highway travel, in the U.S. however they are imported for OFF-ROAD USE ONLY and are not legal for use on streets and highways. The imported vehicles are modified with speed limiting devices to keep them exceeding 25 MPH. Although they are all very similar in design, available in 2 and 4 wheel drive, variations can be found manufactured by Suzuki, Mazda, Toyota, Isuzu, Honda, Daihatsu, Nissan, Subaru and Mitsubishi. Most are powered by a 660 cc engine, offer cab seating for two with common automotive vehicle features like; heaters, power steering, headlights, turn signals, windshield wipers and some even have air conditioning.

People who have purchased an imported used mini-truck have found the mini-truck fits right into the “side by side” utility ATV category offering many uses for work and play. The pickup truck style cargo box in the back provides much the same utility as offered by a Ranger, Rhino, Mule or other utility. Provided that the operator stays within the vehicles weight ratings the LiteFoot UR model tracks are a great “mini-truck” add on for off-road mobility in mud, sand, snow or other soft terrain.
